Chopping Boards
Unless stated otherwise (or very large) these are made from a single piece of wood, so there are no glue joins. These are very reasonably priced as they enable us to use short plank ends etc which would often have no other use. This ensures we keep waste to a minimum. Species and designs vary hugely and we will list available ones in our gallery. These tend to sell very quickly so please contact us if you would like to purchase one – or if you have a specific requirement.
All wood is FSC approved, and coated in a food safe Danish oil coating.
Contrary to what certain manufacturers may state, wood is well proven as a highly hygienic food preparation surface as natural ‘T’ cells in the wood break down bacteria. They don’t blunt your knives and offer excellent ‘grip’ for food items.
Just don’t put them in the dishwasher, and they should last you decades. If you manage to ever wear one out we will replace it free of charge!
